Mrs. Cogdell-Unrein, a 3-time member of the U.S. Olympic Team in Shotgun Trap having competed at Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016.
During her international career representing Team USA, she has won 2 Olympic Bronze medals, Pan American Games Bronze medal, ISSF World Cup Final Bronze medal, 8x ISSF World Cup medalist and Championship of the Americas Gold medalist.
During her domestic career, Corey has won 3 U.S. National Championships, a Silver and 2 Bronze medals. Additionally at U.S. Olympic Trial qualifications she finished first twice in 2016 and 2008, finishing second in 2012.
She is the first native born Alaskan to participate in three Summer Olympic Games.
Corey is married to professional football player Mitchell Unrein. Mitchell has played for the Denver Broncos (including Super Bowl 50 vs Seattle), the San Diego Chargers and the past two seasons with the Chicago Bears. Corey and Mitchell became parents in 2019 as their son, Lane Carter Unrein, was born on April 2
They reside between sports seasons in Chicago and Colorado. Both Corey and Mitchell LOVE spending time in the outdoors, hunting, fly fishing and camping. They are also proud parents of a French Bulldog named Magnus. Magnus comes with Corey as she trains on different ranges around the nation.
Outside of her sport, Corey has appeared in a variety of television episodes for Wild West Alaska and NRA All-Access.
Corey continued training until 2 days before she gave birth and her goal remains the sam and that is to reach her 4th Olympic Games at Tokyo 2020.
