Four-time Olympian, Julie Chu was named by the athletes of the United States Olympic Team as the flag bearer of the 2014 Closing Ceremonies. Chu, a native of Fairfield, CT and 3x Olympic Silver and Bronze medalist was informed of this the day after the United States heartbreaking 3-2 overtime loss to Canada in the Gold medal match.

Holcomb wins combined title for the 3rd time in bobsled career
Steven Holcomb, driver of the USA 1 bobsled team won his 3rd, ISBF/FIBT Combined World Cup title after racing this weekend. The title, his first since the 2009-10 pre-Olympic campaign saw Holcomb win 8 Golds and a Silver in 2 and 4-man bobsled this season. Steven was selected to his 3rd Olympic Team on January 19, 2014.
Holcomb’s 2-man team used 2012 World Champion push athlete Steven Langton and Christopher Fogt through the first 7 races alternating and Curt Tomasevicz in race 8.
