Ms. Anderson (Granite Bay, CA) is a 3-time member of the U.S. Olympic Team in Open Water Swimming (Marathon Swimming) having competed at London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020.
Haley was the FIRST MEMBER OF THE 2020 U.S. Olympic Team based on her Silver Medal placing at the FINA 2019 World Championship in South Korea in the 10k Marathon Swimming race. Open Water Swimming was the only discipline in the sport where you could earn your qualification for the Summer Olympics.
During her international career representing Team USA in Open Water Swimming, she has won an Olympic Silver medal (2012), 2 FINA World Championship Gold medals (2015, 2013), 2 Pan Pacific Gold medals (2018, 2014), 2 FINA World Championship Silver medals (2019, 2017), 1 FINA World Championship Bronze medal (2019) and 3 FINA World Cup Open Water Marathon Gold (2018, 2015, 2012) and 1 Silver (2018) medals.
Haley is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a degree in Communications. While in school, she won 3 NCAA National Championships in the 500 yard & 1650 yard freestyle along with 2 Bronze medals in the 1650 yard free. She added 6 Pac-12 championships in the 500 yard & 1650 yard free as well.
Growing up in the Anderson family was one with an aquatics background from mom Collette who swam at the University of Hawaii, to her older sister Alyssa who made the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team winning Gold in a long course freestyle relay and been passed along to younger sister Jordan who is a graduate at the University of Utah (2019).
Out of the pool, Haley has given back to the community in Southern California through initiatives that helped provide publicity for the 2015 World Games Special Olympics and was a member of the LA 2024/2028 Olympic & Paralympic Athletes’ Advisory Commission during the bid process. Haley took part in a variety of events for LA2024 including athlete outreach programs in the greater Southern California region as well as taking part in building (placement of flowers) and riding on their float at the Rose Parade in 2017.
As a part of her endorsement relationship with Arena, Haley made swimsuit and aquatic product donations to different underserved communities in 2021 in the City of Los Angeles through the guidance and suggestions of the LA 84 Foundation.
Haley was featured in a global campaign for Apple Watch that began in 2019 and extended through the summer of 2020.
Haley designed her own line of Swimwear with her partner Arena that launched in May of 2021 and is a member of the inaugural collection for Kim Kardashian-West’s brand SKIMS with fellow Team USA Olympic members (Alex Morgan, Aja Wilson, Dailiah Muhammad) and Paralympian Scout Bassett.
Haley retired from the U.S. Swim Team (March 31, 2022) and has taken on a new career at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee in Colorado Springs.
