The PWHPA was formed in May of 2019 to create an association to serve as a vehicle dedicated to promoting and supporting the creations of a single, viable women’s professional league in North America. The players joined their voices and are working together to build a sustainable league that will showcase their talent as well as having financial and infrastructure resources. The founding members hail from Canada, Europe and the United States.
