PWHL Toronto breaks attendance record at Scotiabank Arena in win over Montreal

TORONTO, ON (February 16, 2024) – The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) Battle on Bay Street presented by Coca-Cola, featuring PWHL Toronto against PWHL Montréal, attracted a sold-out crowd of 19,285 to Scotiabank Arena tonight and became the best-attended women’s hockey game in history. The crowd surpassed the 18,013 at the 2013 IIHF Women’s World Championship for a preliminary round game between Canada and Finland in Ottawa on April 5, 2013.

 

The previous attendance record for a professional women’s hockey game was 13,316, for PWHL Minnesota against PWHL Montréal, at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn., on Jan. 6.
