  • Her uncle is retired NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb who played in the League for 13 seasons. During his career, he made it to 6 Pro Bowls, had his #5 retired by the Philadelphia Eagles, won 5 NFC East division titles and played in Super Bowl XXXIX losing to the New England Patriots 24-21. He attended Syracuse University where he studied broadcast journalism.

  • Her cousin Darnell Nurse plays for the Edmonton Oilers as a defenseman (1st Round pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft). His NHL career began in 2014 and is a Hockey Canada alum of 2015 World Junior Championship Team that won Gold. He has played in 2 IIHF World Championships in 2018 & 2019.

  • Her cousin Kia Nurse plays for the New York Liberty (drafted 10th overall in the 2018 WNBA Draft) and has been a member of the Canadian Women’s Basketball program winning Gold at the Pan Am Games in 2015 in Toronto and participated in the 2014 FIBA World Championship. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut where she won back to back National Championships in 2015 & 2016. During her WNBA off-season she plays in Australia and won a 2019 WNBL championship with the Canberra Capitals
