  • * International Olympic Committee has vacated the medals in Men's 2 & 4 man by Russia 1 which lost their appeal (as double Gold medalists) in the Court of Arbitration of Sport and was permanently elevated from double Bronze to SILVER / SILVER in this competition. Switzerland won 2-man Gold while Latvia won 4-man Gold. The medals were re-allocated and presented at the 2019 Team USA Awards at Universal Studios Hollywood in November.

  • Overcame degenerative eye condition with the help of Dr Brian Boxer-Wachler in Beverly Hills, CA called Keratconus.

  • Suffered Torn Achilles Tendon during the Sochi 2014 Olympics in the first run of 2-man competition and continued on to win 2 Olympic Bronze Medals in 2-man and 4-man.

  • Won first Bobsled World Championship for the United States in 4-man bobsled in 50 years at 2009 FIBT World Championship in Lake Placid

  • Steven holds all Men’s bobsled World Cup, World Championship and Olympic medal records in American history

  • Steven began his career with the US Bobsled Team as a push athlete before transitioning to become a pilot after the 2002 Winter Olympics

  • At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Park City, Steven served as a forerunner on the track in advance of the competition

  • Won his 60th medal of his World Cup career during the 2016-17 season

  • Received honorable discharge from the Utah National Guard having served as a combat engineer and participated in the World Class Athlete Program
